Yeah, I know, it's cliche, but fuck it, gotta say something, right? So after my period of Charles Hamilton-esque respite, I've decided to re-vamp The Message Blog's content...with a few changes. Allow me to further delineate:
1. No more 10+ posts a day - I really just can't keep up with that many posts in one day. With all that being said, I'm not posting today. Yeah, it's fuckin' turkey day, I've got some food to eat and some football to watch. See y'all tomorrow.
2. I'm posting only music I like - It may have seemed like I was doing that before, but honestly, I was listening to a quarter of whatever I posted. That being said, no more of those bullshit-"Run This Town" freestyles from Sheek Louch or new songs from Curren$y that will eventually wind up on a mixtape dropping the next day. I'm sick of that shit. If I find something I like, I'll post it. If not, go check out Nah Right or 2dbz.
3. More creative shit - This is where most of the emphasis is going. I feel like the rants and the weekly perennials made this site worthwhile, so I'm going to be doing more of that from now on. It's more fun for me and I feel like it's more interesting than just another song link. Now, this might mean some days will go without a post, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for better content.
4. Reviews are coming back - The fourth quarter kicked my ass with the number of albums I should've reviewed. As the release dates begin to dwindle, I assure everyone I'll get back on my grind with them. Maybe they won't be as involved as they once were, but they'll definitely be happening, that's for sure.

Yo Wally...that sounds like a good plan. I've wondered how the hell you keep up the pace--like I said, I imagine you taking a dump while eating a sandwich with your laptop balanced on your bare knees. Your revamp sounds like it'll retain all the blog's strengths, and also improve on them--while dropping the stuff cats can cop elsewhere.
Haha thanks man, but the fact that you imagine that is a little...disturbing.
Also I never mix food and bathroom breaks. Beer, however, very much so.
